About Our Drywall Work in New Rochelle
We are a small drywall crew that fixes walls and ceilings inside your home. Most of what we do is upkeep: finding why a crack or seam keeps coming back, repairing it properly and leaving a surface that stays sound for years instead of months.
How We Look at a Wall
Most drywall doesn't need to be torn out. A wall with a dent, a popped screw or a cracked seam is usually solid behind the damage. We would rather fix what you have than sell you a new wall. That means less dust, less cost and less time with your room taken apart.
The trick is fixing the cause, not just the mark. A crack over a doorway often comes back because the tape under it has let go. A nail pop returns if the fastener was never set right. So we cut out loose tape, reset fasteners, and use setting compound where a seam needs real strength. Then we sand, match the texture and blend it in so the repair disappears.
Older homes around here have a mix of plaster and drywall, plus years of settling and seasonal swings in heat and humidity. That's part of why we explain what we see before we start. If a repair will hold, we say so. If a section really should be replaced, we tell you that too, and why.
What You Can Expect From Us
A straight answer on repair or replace
We look at the damage, press on it and check the edges before giving an opinion. You hear what we found in plain words. No upselling a full sheet when a patch will do the job.
Repairs meant to stay put
We use the right tape and compound for the spot, let each coat dry, and feather the edges wide. A patch that is rushed shows up again after the first winter. Ours are done in layers for that reason.
A clean work area
We cover floors, mask off doorways and contain sanding dust as much as the job allows. At the end of the day the room is swept and the tools are out of your way.
Finish that matches
Smooth walls, light orange peel or knockdown, we match the texture around the repair. When paint is needed over the patch, we handle the paint touch-up so you don't see a square of new color.
